A proto-psychological theory called the four-temperament theory postulates the existence of four basic types of personality: 1. Sanguine Personality Type (Enthusiastic, Active, & Social) The air element is typically linked to the sanguine personality. This personality type is characterized by vivacity, sociability, carefreeness, talkativeness, and a desire for pleasure. They might have a good disposition and be upbeat. They are friendly and outgoing, creative and artistic, and frequently have lots of ideas. Due to their mutability, sanguine personalities may find it difficult to complete assignments on time and may frequently be late or forgetful. From a conceptual perspective, the greatest way to engage them is to reawaken their passion for a subject and respect for individuals. They have a high-risk tolerance and can enjoy the adventure. They are also excellent entertainers and will succeed if they pursue professions in the entertainment sector. If they pursue careers in marketing, tourism, fashion, culinary, or sports, their natural skills will also be a benefit to them. 2. Choleric Personality Type (Short-Tempered, Fast, & Irritable) Historically, fire has been linked to the choleric personality. This personality type makes people more extroverted and egotistical. Choleric people are extremely intelligent, analytical, and rational. They are very direct and realistic, but not necessarily good friends or nice people. They prefer meaningful, in-depth interactions over small banter. Rather than being around shallow, uninteresting individuals, they would prefer to be alone themselves. They would desire to interact with others who share their professional interests. Jobs in management, technology, statistics, engineering, programming, and business are ideal for these people.
