Here in this article, we will talk about how to nurture talent. Here is why? Some of us think that talent is inborn in a lot of us. They usually tell the story of how Mozart started playing his first piece at the age of 3 and writing and composing at 5 bolsters this belief. But here’s the foundation of that narrative: Mozart’s dad was a thriving composer and a musician, a good instructor as well. He was loyal and very much keen on teaching and practicing every day with his son Mozart and supporting him throughout his practice until he achieved perfection. But with all this, Mozart did not compose and establish his first masterpiece until his early 20s after about 15 years of laborious study and a seizure of educational instruction from his father. Talent, I dispute with any person, is not an inborn trait which is given by God, it’s nurtured by our parents which can make a huge difference at the end of the day. In a world that is technology-driven with Pinterest and Facebook taking the steam with children actively participating, what we think as parents are that sometimes we get hooked up in what actions we “think our children should be preparing” rather than projects for our children. Every child is unique in their own special way. If we compare your child with other children in the end you would just be disappointed so be happy for what they are and what they can accomplish. Here are some ways to nurture talent in children: 1. Recognize and know your child’s talent: By talent, I am not telling or suggesting children being gifted or being a prodigy in a particular field. Every child has a mixture or blends of strengths and abilities. As I said above each child is exceptional in their own unique and special way. Recognize what this skill or strength is for your child and help them nurture it through either soft skill development or activities which they love to do. 2. Promote and encourage to develop their Passion: Never forget that talents are not those tangible skills we are born with. To bring out any child's talent, it’s necessary to strengthen their commitment to hard work, perseverance, and determination to strive for what it takes to improve that skill-set. So, as a parent, be always supportive of their development in their passion. Passion has been a new word that is pretty much used in education for ages now, and it is stated that maintaining it can be one of the most important factors that define enduring achievement in the long run. Passion is all about persuading with resiliency, overcoming barriers that face the child, and never giving up in the end. Teaching your child that their skills and abilities must be sharpened and honored through work and determination. 3. Praise any small effort, not their Ability: Appreciating their effort is necessary for not only nurturing your child’s skill-set but also strengthening their self-esteem. By appreciating each effort they put in to get the best outcome is necessary to help them beat adversaries the next time (Things that may foster praise are: see how beautiful you have done to complete that painting or well done for working hard”) this will help in building your child’s self- confidence. Careful Preparation: The practice among the talented is never random, it’s fixed: with a certain bit of goal-oriented and exceeding one’s convenience zone. Sometimes in practice, one would be sore because of the run. Fingers hurting in pain because of too much practice with the violin. Body aching due to the rigorous strain he/she put up with in gym class. But, in the end, it would pay off. 5. Embrace the child you have got: We all have significant aspirations for our child, but it’s essential to understand every child is different with their own dreams and goals, passions, and aims. Embracing the child you have got means working our best to check what we believe(and usually it is something, what our community tells us) which is the meaning and the key to the way of success. It means allowing us to not compare to the other child next door, or your best friend’s son, or even the kid you think your son or daughter could be. Discovering how to find your kid's talent can take some time to expose possible ideas, skills, and curiosities. Never neglect that framing and building a talent allows children to acquire and learn from their blunders and discover a new path to victory while pursuing their dreams. This is why this article on how to nurture talent is important throughout this method, children build resilience, courage, and the instruments they need to find permanent success and joy! With a bit of personality development for kids, one is sure to lead the way for success with this nurturing.
